Two Bad Doggies

Me

Marley and I

I've been writing for as long as I can remember, and still have some of my very early attempts. Dad was a printer and was allowed to bring home spare paper: I turned these fabulous bound blocks into badly-drawn picture story books. The beautiful, pristine sheets of A4 he brought us were soon filled up with long, rambling stories - painstakingly typed on Nan's old Corona typewriter - about characters that closely resembled my sister and I. Our family never did anything much, so the stories were completely devoid of plot.

Childhood writing
Things have improved a bit since then. These days I write freelance and my stories have appeared in Take a Break's Fiction Feast, The People's Friend, Yours, Ireland's Own and That's Life Fast Fiction (Australia).

I've a lovely husband and daughter and my day-job is in IT.

I love yoga, cycling, reading, writing and, of course, walking my doggies.
